A RSS news feed is a syndicated news feed from a source of news (in our example on the demo site we are using a feed from The Globe And Mail. The purpose of having a RSS news feed is to provide live updated information on your site to visitors. there are thousands of free news feed sources on the web, for any topic you can imagine from news to politics, to the arts, to internet topics and much more.
If you plan to have a blog or constantly update information on your web site, you can also set up the site to syndicate your own content as a RSS news feed for other web masters or visitors to subscribe to.
